"I'm Master Instructor Steel Hameed founder of Practical Combat Applications ( PCA ). I'm a lifelong martial artist of multiple disciplines and a former professional fighter. I am a rarity in that I, to date, have 20 years of real-world experience in dealing with violence and the evolution of hyper-violence in our current society.
The majority of my education in human behavior and violence took place while working the bars nightclubs, gentlemen's clubs, and dives as a bouncer in Atlanta Georgia for 20 years. Five of those years I worked as a security specialist inside a mental health facility, and I currently work as a bodyguard or close protection specialist.
Practical Combat Applications is a self-protection platform based on combative principles and structure. Combatives are quick, simple, efficient, effective techniques based on gross motor movements, for fighting with or without weapons in multiple attacker situations.
I developed PCA because I realized that fear, violence, aggression, hatred, evil, and ignorance had evolved, but the means to combat these, our reality had not.
Everyone has the right to protect themselves. To not feel fearful, to not experience violence and aggression to not experience the weight of hatred or the clinch of evil. My charge, the charge of PCA is to educate those that refuse to be victims; refuse to be afraid; refuse to be fearful; and avoid violence hatred and ignorance. This select few also understand that when there are no options other than violence, they must have the mindset and tools to survive."
