Unity J. McGill Foundation

Help support the families of crime victims and college-ready students in Liberia, West Africa. Unity J. McGill was known by his friends and family as a giver. He put people first and would do anything to help anyone in need. Born in 1990 in Liberia, West Africa, Unity was born during the heat of the Liberia Civil War. Mr. McGill spent the first 7 years of his childhood as a refugee living in exile and refugee camps where access to everyday essentials such as food, clean water, healthcare, and education was not readily available.

On December 29th, 2019, Unity McGill lost his life while helping a random stranger. He did not have to intervene to help someone he did not know, but he felt compelled to help. His friends tried to prevent him from helping but he refused to be a bystander and said to them, “I cannot sit here and watch and do nothing.” He was only 29 years old. Unity J. McGill was a Hero. He did what he was known by many as a giver and selfless individual. His dedication to serving people is a true inspiration. This is why we started the Unity J. McGill foundation to continue his legacy of serving others.
